September 2020. “The Three Main Rules of Discipline and the Eight Points for Attention” is based on military doctrine formulated by Chairman Mao during China's Civil War. His writings on these topics were first published in 1928, reissued in 1947, and later fashioned into this marching song. The tune was reproduced for this track according to a Cultural Revolution-era booklet featuring music and lyrics. Elements include MidiPlus keyboard and percussion loops. Recorded via DAW.
